# Global Oil Storage Data Dictionary

| **Column Name** | **Example** | **Definition** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| timeStampDate timeStampTime | 2022-11-24 02:29:16 | The time of the image taken to measure this tank. |
| locationCode | CAO | 3-digit code for an Ursa location identifier – maps to a location name. |
| companyName | Sinopec | Known owner of the tank. If the company name is unknown, a placeholder (e.g. CAO\_A) will be used. |
| tankName | CAO001 | Ursa tank identifier. This value does not change, even as new tanks are added or removed from the data set. |
| tankFill | 10300 | Number of barrels measured in that tank for this data point. |
| percentFill | 24% | Percent utilization of the tank for this data point (tankFill / capacity). |
| capacity | 42916 | Estimated number of barrels that the tank can physically hold. Not operationally, which may be 5-10% less than this value. |
| crude | Yes | A confidence metric on the tank containing crude oil or a product. Potential values include “Yes”, “Probable”, “Unconfirmed”, or “No”. |
| storageType | Commercial | Qualifier that describes the type of storage.  For Chinese tanks, this is either SPR or Commercial, and Globally, this value is either Refinery or Non-Refinery, depending on the proximity to a refinery. |
| reportDate reportDateTime | 2022-12-01 14:00:00 | Publish date of the data. For images taken in the 168 hours between Wednesday 14:00 UTC and Wednesday 14:00 UTC, this value will be the following Thursday at 14:00 UTC. |
| carryForward | False | In the case that a new measurement cannot be taken, measurement may be carried forward from the previous week’s report. |
| publishDate | 2022-11-28 16:31:53 | Date/time that the measurements entered the Ursa database. |
| firstReportDate | 2017-04-12 | First date/time that the tank record was measured. |
